Tim Humphries

Tim qualified with a BSc (Honours) degree in Physiotherapy in 1997 from Brunel University College, Isleworth, London. He is a Chartered Physiotherapist and is a member of the Health Care and Professions Council, the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.

For six months after qualification he worked at the Royal Brompton Hospital, Kensington specialising in cardiac and respiratory physiotherapy before moving with his family to West Mersea, Essex in February 1998. There he worked at Colchester General Hospital rotating around different physiotherapy departments gaining experience before transferring to Halstead Hospital, Essex where he specialised in out-patient physiotherapy.

In 1999 he set up his first private practice in West Mersea where, over the years, he has helped many hundreds of people improve their quality of life by reducing pain and improving normal function (see home page for extensive list of conditions treated). This is achieved through various evidence-based, hands-on treatment techniques as well as advice regarding self-management and exercise.

Tim left the NHS in 2003 to concentrate fully on his private work, however, for many years he maintained connections with the NHS through local GP contracts.

Tim opened his Tiptree Physiotherapy Clinic in June 2007 and this has gone from strength to strength owing to his commitment to providing professional, quality and evidence-based physiotherapy assessment and treatment.
